Class IV Blog ...... Welcome

On the blog page of trlpccar.net it lists the links to the blogs in the CCAR network. Your new blog is http://trlp4.blogspot.com/ and can be found there. The link section to the right on the new blog will direct you to other blogs, your library page, the main CCAR site and others. Let me know what links you would like there. You will be receiving e-mails from the blog system. It will ask you to either log into your google account or to create one to be confirmed as publisher (With an account you can do other cool stuff like my inventory google map ). This is a very powerful modern tool. Do not delay in getting activated as a publisher and begin posting.

This blog now as you have decided will be the forum for you to begin formulating your "Legacy Project" Each time some one posts you will get an e-mail.

You can reach me by mailing davec@circlec.com for any questions

Hi Guys,

I have a great idea for a class project is to have a food drive and partner with a local grocery store. We would use the grocery stores along with all of the real estate offices as collection sites. The signs will all have CCAR name on them, which would reinforce our community involvement. The cost would be low we would since we would be split the cost of the signs with the grocery store. We could contact the news stations, Dallas Morning News along with the local small newspapers to promote our project. Since this is community service we should be able to get the advertising for free. This is a project that would be perfect for the current times we are in. Also the project life would end when our class ends.

There are several excellent community organizations in Collin County. I would prefer Frisco Family Resource Center, since this was my class project for Leadership Frisco. But CCAR is a county organization, and we should choose someone who serves the county.

Metrotex TRLP Class last year did a food drive for a school in Dallas for gifted and talented children. They stocked their pantry with food.

What do you think?
